President passes Netflix Bill into Law

Today President Obama passed what many refer to as the Netflix Bill into law. What this new law does is that it allows users to share what they are watching on Netflix directly to Facebook. This previously was illegal in the US under the¬†Video Privacy Protection Act, however, users in Canada and Latin America have had this ability for some time now. This bill comes just weeks after the Senate passed the House bill. Now Netflix has recently mentioned that when President Obama signs the bill that they would activate the functionality fairly quickly. The fact that it’s already in place in Canada and Latin America means you shouldn’t have to wait too long before you can start sharing all of your Netflix adventures.
